About Me
Love at first sight came at the age of 3yrs when I met Rory, a kind-natured golden retriever. Since then, life has been pretty much centred round our four-legged friends.
Realising a desk job wasn’t for me, I began working for the wonderful Holly & Lil whilst training with the renowned John Rogerson and spent weekends working with Islington Council’s Senior Dog Welfare Officer, Joe Clarke. From here I set up The Darling Dog Company, guided by a strong belief in promoting fun and constructive training methods to ensure the best possible dog-owner relationships.
As well as running my own training classes and one-to-one consultancy sessions, I do additional work to promote responsible dog ownership in inner-city estates and areas of London. Partnering with The Dogs Trust to educate people on micro-chipping, neutering and training and responsible dog ownership.
In addition, I consulted for the world’s first dog diner, offering independent advice on dog behaviour, health and nutrition. I am currently involved in trying to create a ‘Dog Day’ in Hackney, keep checking my blog for more information on this.
I live in Hackney with my husband, my beloved English Bulldog, Cookie and my cat, Eartha McGurtha.
Cookie is our first dog together and she means the absolute world to us.
The Darling Dog Company isn’t just a job - it’s part of me. I love what dogs give us, the extent to which they love us, and hope to create as many contented dog-owner relationships as I possibly can.
I simply want London to be full of happy, understood and contented darling dogs.
